Our Mission
MEDI exists to inspire a lasting commitment to experimental dance by providing a consistent, low-barrier performance platform for Wisconsin-based dance artists. We support interdisciplinary works integrating dance with technology, visual art, sound, and other performance forms while fostering collaboration across artistic and technical disciplines.
Our Vision
We envision an inclusive, post-academic space for dialogue, critique, and artistic development — cultivating the next generation of experimental dance creators through sustained presence and community engagement.

Year One — 2026
Produce 2–4 public performances to pilot and refine the MEDI format, establish consistent expectations for artists and audiences, and build foundational partnerships with local artists, venues, and collaborators.

Year Two — 2027
Introduce expanded interdisciplinary elements including emerging technologies and cross-sector collaborations, adapt performance format for larger or nontraditional venues, and assess long-term sustainability and potential expansion.
